Case study
A studio that built its own site as its calling card
Disegno claims to build websites like masterpieces — so our own site has to be one. A spatial 3D experience in the browser, bilingual and lightning fast.

The brief
A studio that promises masterpiece-grade websites can’t have an ordinary page. Our own site is the toughest client of all — it has to prove the craft before the visitor reads a single line, while staying fast, accessible and clear even for someone who just came for a phone number and a price.
The work
Instead of a classic homepage we built a spatial experience. The visitor drifts through a quiet studio space between luminous gold objects — each one a chapter: work, services, how we work, contact. The whole scene runs as real-time 3D right in the browser (WebGL), with no video and no heavy model downloads — geometry and light are generated procedurally, so the page stays light.
Under the effect sits an honest foundation. All the copy lives in HTML — so Google and screen readers can read it, and it works with no 3D at all. The site is bilingual (Czech and English), statically generated with Astro, and on phones the 3D gracefully lightens so it never drains battery or performance. Anyone with “reduced motion” enabled gets a calm static version.
The outcome
A calling card that sells the craft at first glance while holding everything we care about: speed, accessibility and clean code. It’s also our most honest argument — if this is the website we built for ourselves, imagine what we’ll build for you.
